Reese Melonie Burton Petersen
The spoiled rich daughter of the millionaire Edward Burton and in the pilot she's about to marry her longtime fianceé Travis Petersen, not knowing that
her "best" friend Peyton "Bunny" Richards is cheating with him. She and Travis gets married, but she finds a bracelet amoung her wedding presents, that
reads "to Bunny from Travis", that Peyton had gotten earlier. Furious, still not knowing who "Bunny" really is, Reese throws Travis out. As it looks that the
game is over for Travis, he's got some more up his sleeve. He gets one of his friends to lie for him and tells Reese that it was a phrank. Reese buys it...for
awhile until Peyton hires some girl to pretend to be "Bunny" and gets Reese to see her and Reese throws Travis out...again and finds out from Lane that he stole
trust fund that her parents left her. The next day, Travis is
found dead on a shore, and the police thinks it's suicide. Reese and Lane plans to go on her and Travis' "honeymoon", but the police found sand in Travis'
lungs, so Reese and Lane are suspects. Reese turns to Tom, daddy's new business partner for comfort. Meanwhile, she and daddy dearest argues because she
is allowing Lane to live in her&Travis' house while she's a murder suspect, Reese gets mad and moves in with Lane in the house, and they later take Peyton in
as a roommate. Reese is of the hook for Travis murder, when it turns out that Lucille did it. While Reese is getting more and more close to Tom, she buys a part of
the riverboat.She also has more disagreements with Edward, thanks to Peyton, but they works it out.
Tom's "criminal" brother comes to town and finds out from him that her mother had an affair with their father. She breaks up with Tom b/c
he hasn't said anything. Later, she overhears him on the phone with Veronica and thinks that he'll pick up compromising photos of Veronica and Edward in bed.
She stops Tom and tells him that she'll pick it up and destroy them. Unfortunatly, this was a scheme that Veronica and Edward cooked up, so that they could frame
Tom for selling drugs. Reese is arrested when she pics up the bag, where she believes the photos are.
Thanks to Peyton(well, actually, she was against it and saw it as a waste of money, but was later convinced), Reese is
released from prison on bail. When she finally comes out, she meets Nick, Travis' twin brother and faints, when she finally wakes up,
Nick blames her and Peyton for Travis' death. Later, though, Reese gives him a job at the S.S. Savannah as a bartender. She also helps Dean finding where Lane is
and saves her. Meanwhile, Tom seduces a police woman into giving him the drugs that Reese had in the bag, just to get closer to
her; Reese is free from all charges. Tom schemes fails when Reese is more interested in Nick. Reese and Nick starts having an
affair, they also helps Edward to get free from the charges of taking bribes. As their relationship is starting to heat up,
Reese wants out of the boat and sells her share to Nick. Edward, wanting revenge to Tom, puts the boat on fire; making it look
like arson on Tom's part, the plan works perfectly, with only one little glitch; Nick and Reese are sleeping inside.
Reese and Nick are saved by Tom, who puts out the fire and makes it look like an accident. Reese finds out that it was
Edward who put the boat on fire and is steaming mad! She also starts looking into the company "River Run", which is closing
down, she tries to save it, but it's too late. She also breaks it off with Nick, because she thinks that he's having an affair
with Veronica; thanks to Peyton. Reese does find out that Veronica has both earrings left and forgives Nick, much to Peytons
dismay. Peyton and Tom schemes to make them jealouse and it works! Reese and Nick breaks up and Reese reunites with Tom. Tom schemes
with Peyton, to get them to the altar, well at least think they did. Tom gets Reese drunk and
Peyton dresses up as her dear sister and marries Tom. Reese thinks that they're married and
at first want an annullment, but changes her mind and continues to be married. Unfortunatly,
the priest who married "them" (Peyton and Tom) sends a photo of the wedding and Reese is out
for revenge. She and Nick schemes to get a new HUGE double-wedding, where they expose Peyton
and Tom's plans. She later throws Peyton out of the house.
